Many Americans are sick and tired of the Democrats and the Republicans.
We see the charade of a political campaign being waged by both parties, with the media obsessed with
what John Kerry did in Vietnam, or what George Bush didn't do. Nevermind the future, they seem to say.
The major parties and the media are stuck in the past. They'd rather sling mud at each other than discuss
the real issues. And they spread the great lie.
What is that great lie? That only the one of them could possibly win the election. Year after year, they convince the American public that only they can win. Even when a choice between Republican and Democrat is little to no choice at all -- as on issues like Fiscal Responsibility, Imperialism and Energy Independance -- they numb Americans into picking whomever they consider to be the lesser of two evils. However, the truth is that there are other choices, other candidates for President of the United States of America. There are at least four candidates in the 2004 presidental race who are enough state ballots to feasibly win the election, if only they were allowed to have their voices heard like John Kerry and George Bush are. These candidates are Michael Badnarik of the Libertarian Party, David Cobb of the Green Party, Ralph Nader the Independent and Reform Party nominee and Michael Peroutka of the Constitution Party. The problem is that the Democrats and Republicans will not let these guys in the debates. The major media refuses to cover them short of a few spots on the Democrats' un-American quest to keep Nader off the ballot in many battleground states. The humble mission of OtherChoices.com is to provide a place where these other eligible candidates can be heard. You are fully encouraged to read about each of these candidates and then evaluate them against George Bush and John Kerry. Please vote for the candidate who best reflects your ideals whether it is Badnarik, Cobb, Nader, Peroutka, or yes, even Bush or Kerry. Have the courage to vote for the candidate that best represents your views, not the lesser of two evils. It is the only way to push our country towards a brighter tomorrow. |
